
His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited on Monday the King Abdullah II Airbase in Zarqa.
Upon arrival, the King was welcomed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mashal Mohammad Zaben, HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein and the Royal Air Force commander.
His Majesty was briefed by the commander of the airbase on duty and also about tasks carried out at the base as well as combat and technical preparedness of all jets there.
The King also toured various sections of the base where he inspected a number of newly introduced helicopters equipped with modern military aviation systems.
His Majesty also inspected the air surveillance squadron and was briefed by its commander on surveillance, combat and technical capabilities of the squadron.
King Abdullah also watched a number of newly introduced reconnaissance planes that were equipped with advanced combat systems.
His Majesty voiced satisfaction over the advanced level the Royal Air Force has reached as well as the humanitarian missions it carries out efficiently.
