King Abdullah II said late Sunday that the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip will have its consequences on the stability of the Middle East.
According to the Jordanian News Agency (PETRA), The King's statement came during his phone conversation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
King Abdullah called on the UN to find means to halt the ongoing military strike on Gaza, saying that escalation will lead to more violence in the region.
Israel said that the military campaign on the Gaza Strip was to uproot Palestinian elements that are targeting Israeli cities with rockets. The assault resulted in the deaths of several innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.
