Jordanian Kanoo center holds solidarity session with Gaza

Abdul Rahman Kanoo Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Bahrain, organized a rhetorical and poetical session titled (Gaza land of resistance) in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to denounce the criminal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Kanoo center's affiliates and scores of Bahraini intellectuals, writers, journalists, and a number of the Palestinian community in Bahrain attended the event.
Kanoo Center Deputy Chairman, Mubarak Saad Al-Attawi, in his opening speech, criticized the international silence on the brutal massacres committed by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people. He highlighted solidarity with Gaza, land of resistance.
Palestinian Embassy's Senior Advisor, Mohammad Al-Turk, speaking for Palestinian Ambassador, Taha Abdulqadir, underscored the state of unity and solidarity among the Palestinian people in encountering the ruthless Israeli aggression that disregarded all international laws and norms.
He noted the Palestinian President's efforts in reaching a ceasefire to stop the bloodshed carried out by the Israeli aggression that aims to miscarriage the national reconciliation and undermine the national unity. He called on the free world to halt the aggression on Gaza and unmask the inhuman crimes of the Israeli forces against the innocent Palestinians.
Director of UN Information Centre to GCC countries, Ambassador Najib Vriji, called on the audience to observe a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims of Gaza. He pointed out the failure of those in charge of international law to do justice to the Palestinian people, noting the Israeli shelling that targeted UN buildings and schools (UNRWA), in which the Palestinian people sought refuge to flee the Israeli bombing and air raids. He concluded by extending condolences to all Palestinian families who lost their beloved ones in the aggression on Gaza and other parts of Palestine.
Kanoo Center's Human Rights Advisor, Dr. Abdulsatar Al-Rawi, called for raising social awareness on the vicious Israeli strategy aimed to intimidate the Palestinian people. He spoke in detail about the number of victims and the injured, as well as the extent of destruction, which included houses, hospitals, health centers, schools, mosques and agricultural lands. He added that Israel deliberately inflicted maximum harm to the Palestinian people and displaced thousands of them.
