His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, visited a number of Palestinians who were admitted yesterday to the Al Hussein Medical Center in Amman after sustaining injuries as a result of Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip.
The Regent ordered that the best medical care be provided to the injured, and stressed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is keen to stand by the Palestinians and will provide medical and humanitarian aid to them.
Six injured Palestinians were transferred to the Al Hussein Medical Center for treatment after it was determined that providing medical care to them at the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza was impossible as they had sustained serious injuries. The injured included two women and a child who were in the first batch that will receive treatment in the Kingdom.
The Crown Prince was accompanied by the Royal Court chief, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the director general of the Royal Medical Services as well as doctors overseeing the injured Palestinians.
Families of the injured valued the Regent's visit and voiced appreciation for the medical attention given to them.
