
Crown Prince Hussein was born on June 28, 1994. He is the eldest son of Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania.
A Royal Decree was issued on July 2, 2009 naming Prince Hussein as Crown Prince.
He has accompanied the King on several visits and tours of various governorates, along with official and military missions and functions at home and abroad.
As part of his youth empowerment efforts, Crown Prince Hussein has launched the "Haqeq" (achieve) initiative, which involves hundreds of school students from all governorates in activities that instill a sense of volunteerism, democracy, teamwork and patriotism.
His Highness also launched the "Qusai Initiative" to update the readiness quotient of sports paramedics and those who treat any injured athletes, besides developing programs related to sports therapy
