Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met at the Prime Ministry on Monday with MPs from the southern governorate of Karak to discuss problems and challenges facing the governorate.
Such meetings, Enosur said, provide an opportunity to the executives to listen to the needs and demands of the majority of citizens through their elected MPs.
He added that direct meetings give the executive authority an opportunity to provide the best to citizens of Karak, noting that development does not mean offices and theories but is rather achieved by citizens and their deputies who represent them.
The prime minister said that he and the ministerial team that accompanied him listened to the demands of the Karak representatives, noting that the government would do its utmost to meet whichever demands are possible to concede.
Referring to the desert highway, Enosur said that maintenance of the highway costs around JD100 million, adding that the government has allocated JD10 for this purpose.
The MPs came up with major issues and challenges facing the Karak governorate in the economic, health, water and labour fields.
