Jordanian Air Force planes bombed and destroyed a number of selected targets belonging to terrorist organizations early Tuesday, a Jordanian Armed Forces source announced.
Attempts to infiltrate the Kingdom’s northern and eastern borders as well as shooting incidents against army posts have seen a major spike in the past two months despite repeated warnings and decisive measures taken by the armed forces, forcing the army to launch an airstrike against a number of sites used by terrorist organizations to target the Kingdom, the source added.
"In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft destroyed a number of selected targets used by terrorist groups to dispatch their members for terrorist attacks in the Kingdom," the source said, adding: "All aircraft returned safely to their bases." If such attempts recur, the source warned, the armed forces will not hesitate to respond firmly and send a decisive message to these groups in their hideouts, stressing that border security and the Jordanian people’s safety are non-negotiable.
