KUWAIT CITY, March 31 (MENA) - Kuwaiti Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs Khaled al Jarallah said the Gulf-US summit, to take place on April 21 in Riyadh, is a resumption of last year's summit in Camp David, the US.
Speaking to Kuwaiti Al Qabas newspaper, Jarallah said the summit will address terrorism in the region and the world, especially that posed by Daesh, and coordination between the two sides over the integrated defense system of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
It will touch on military cooperation and it would be a chance to discuss regional causes in Syria, Yemen, GCC-Iranian relations, Libya and Iraq, he said.
Commenting on the deportation of Lebanese nationals from Kuwait, the official said the country classified Hezbollah as a terrorist group, meaning that consequent measures had to be taken.
The deportation measures were taken over those who support or cooperate with Hezbollah, he explained.
Kuwaiti assistance to Lebanon was not affected by the Hezbollah issue as Kuwait will continue to support development projects it is funding and supervising, by its financing arm the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, in Lebanon, he added.
