President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Akihiko Tanaka welcomed the organization's cooperation with Egypt in several projects.
Speaking to reporters following a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri Sunday, Tanaka said the talks took up cooperation between JICA and Egypt in all domains, especially those related to economy and development.
The two sides agreed to promote joint activities in the coming phase, he said.
Talking about future projects, he pointed out to a joint one for the construction of the Egyptian Grand Museum, the fourth phase of Cairo Metro and the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology.
Other projects will be launched in the transport and electricity fields, he said.
Asked about the meetings he will have during his current Egypt visit, he said he will meet with Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damati later today to follow up on the Grand Museum project.
On Monday, he will be meeting with officials of Cairo University's hospitals to probe aspects of cooperation.
