Spokesman of the Coalition Forces in Support of the Legitimacy in Yemen Col. Turki Al Malki said the Joint Command of the Coalition has referred the results of possible incident in operations zone to the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) for assessment.

"The Coalition Command has completed its Post-Action Review of operations conducted within operations zone on Thursday, August 23. According to the comprehensive review, operational vetting and response by the executers of the said operation, that there might have been collateral damage and civilian casualties while targeting members of the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia in Ad Durayhimi province in Hodeida, Yemen. All documents relating to this incident have been handed over to JIAT pending is assessment and announcement of results," he said.


He reaffirmed the commitment of the Coalition's Joint Forces Command to enforcing the highest standards of targeting, and principles of International Humanitarian Law and its Conventional Rules, as well as taking all necessary procedures in case of an incident, to achieve the highest levels of responsibility and transparency, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
