Two Gazan fishermen were arrested and taken to an unknown location on Wednesday by an Israeli navy, said Palestinian media sources.
The sources said that the Israeli naval force intercepted the two Gazans' path when they were on their fishing boat in the middle of the sea near Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. Seventeen year old Muhammad Zayed and 20 year old Musa Sultan were taken to an unknown location in Israel.
Earlier today, the Israeli naval force launched attacks against other fishing boats passing near the Gaza coast. The Israeli naval force attacked Palestinian boats the six-mile area provided for Palestinians to fish.
The ceasefire, which ended the 51-day conflict in the Gaza Strip, increased the number of nautical miles permissible for the fishermen to work in from three to six.
In the last couple of years, Israel has imposed a naval blockade on the Gaza Strip along with its frequent coastal searches. Recent attacks on Rafah and Khan Yunis by the Israeli naval force also compels the Palestinians to leave their homes. (end) sq.gta
