
The Islamic State arrested 18 officers from the Police Directorate of Nineveh, south of Mosul and took them to an unknown destination, according to a security source refused to be named .
The source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The elements of the (IS) kidnapped 18 police officers from their homes in Qayyarah district after they announced their repentance in last June , when the extremist elements" IS took control of Mosul.
The source noted that "the (IS) took the officers to an unknown destination," the source did not give further details about the reasons for the arrest .
