Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa chaired at the Gudaibiya Palace today the eighth meeting of the second session of the Board of Trustees of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity.
The panel reviewed topics on its agenda, and was briefed about the Award's Jury's meeting last July, and resolutions.
It reviewed the list of nominees submitted to the General-Secretariat, directing to focus on issues related to refugees and communicable diseases, being among the major risks posing a serious threat to humanity.
The Board was also informed about the jury's next meeting.
Deputy Premier and the Isa Award for Service to Humanity Board of Trustees Chairman called for the need to choose the nominees carefully in order to maintain and build on the advanced level achieved by the first edition so as to achieve its main goal of honouring working in the field of service to humanity, taking inspiration from the humanitarian efforts of the late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and their impacts in Bahrain and the world.
The panel also discussed the launch of the Award's new website, noting that access to it has become much more easier.
