A security source said that elements of the Islamic State (IS) are besieging an army force in the Zagarit area between Al- Sejar and Saqlawiyah north of Fallujah.
He told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "an Army force, which composed of / 102 / soldiers and / 36 / officers of the first Army Division, was besieged since / 5 / days by the gangs of the Islamic State (IS) and they withstood despite running out of food and water.
He added that the faster process to deliver what they need is through aircraft, but the process must be accompanied by air strikes on the perimeter of the area to prevent terrorists of targeting supplies.
The source continued that a major military operation is another option guaranteed to deliver aid to the besieged force.
