Egypt's Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi accepted Tuesday an invitation by his Ethiopian counterpart Alemayehu Tegenu to visit Ethiopia's Grand Renaissance Dam.
In press statements to reporters after the fourth round of tripartite talks on the Dam, Moghazi said that he would as soon as possible visit the dam on the top of an Egyptian delegation of experts and journalists.
He asserted that such visit would strengthen the bridges of trust between the two countries and assure Egypt that Ethiopia's dam would not prevent Nile water from flowing to Egypt.
The water resources and irrigation ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia met in Khartoum for two days to reach agreement on a joint mechanism for implementing the recommendations of the International Panel of Experts regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
