Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received Tuesday a message from United Nations Secretary-General Ban Kii Moon related to Iraq's war on terror.
A statement released to the press today from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said the message was in response to Iraq's request for help from the international community. The UN Secretary-General said that the international community was fully behind Iraq's efforts in combating the threat posed by terrorists groups.
The two also discussed the political process in Iraq and stressed on the importance of having parliament back in session in the near future. Moon called on the Iraqi government to commit to the constitutional implications of having the parliament in session.
