Iraqi army recaptures 2 regions near Tikrit form Daesh militants

The federal Iraqi army has recaptured two regions near Tikrit city, in Saladin province, an informed source said Wednesday.
The federal Iraqi army, supported by publics, engaged in a fierce battle with Daesh militants near Tikrit, the source said, adding the troops won the combat, killing many of them and forced militants to flee to Baiji city, northern Iraq.
Meantime, Iraqi military jets bombed terrorist hideouts in Tikrit, killing many Daesh elements.
