Governor of Dohuk, Farhad Atroshi, has thanked U.A.E. for supporting Iraq's Kurdistan Region and its Dohuk Governorate which alone hosts more than 100,000 families displaced by violence.
Atroshi made his remarks as he met with U.A.E. Consul-General to Iraq's Kurdistan Region, Rashid Al Mansouri, to discuss the U.A.E.'s aid for the displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees.
The two sides also discussed the nature and size of aid for refugee families in Dohuk as well as the U.A.E.'s decision to set up a camp for the displaced in the governorate.
During the meeting, Atroshi requested Al Mansouri to pass to the U.A.E. government a request for considering the possibility of meeting Dohuk Governorate's need for medicine and medical supplies for treating emergency cases, as U.A.E. sent similar medical aid earlier this month to Erbil, the capital city of Kurdistan Region.
