IOM chief commends Kuwaiti emir's humanitarian role

The Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) William Swing here on Tuesday praised the humanitarian role by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah across the globe.
This came during Swing's meeting with the UN Humanitarian Envoy, Amiri Diwan Advisor and Board Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq.
In the meeting, both sides discussed the situations in Syria, Iraq and a number of other countries that face humanitarian disasters across the globe.
Swing expressed the IOM's gratitude to His Highness the Amir for his generosity and humanitarian effort.
Al-Maatouq is set to give a speech in the final session of IMO council meeting later in the day in which His Highness the Amir will be honored.
