
The General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Interior Ministry has organised a joint exercise on chemical materials leakage in cooperation with the BDF Field Engineering Unit.
The joint drill is in line with the directives of the Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and the follow-up of Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan.
Several Interior Ministry’s departments took part in the exercise which was held in Al-Dur in the Southern Governorate to evaluate the readiness of security departments in tackling threats of chemical leakages.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence hailed cooperation and performance of all departments that were associated in the event, especially the high cooperation with the BDF.
At the end of the exercise, the Commander of the Field Engineering Unit presented a memorial gift to the General Director of Civil Defence, hailing the success of the exercise that he is looking forward for similar events in the future.
