The International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, and Navdex concluded today with over AED 19 billion worth of arms deals for the UAE Armed Forces.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the event was organised in association and with the full support of the UAE Armed Forces, from January 19 to 23, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The largest exhibitor is the Emirates Defence Industries Company, EDIC, a joint venture between Mubadala Development and Tawazun Holding.

A total of 1,235 companies participated, a 3 percent increase from 2015, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Rostec.
