Ibrahim offers wellwishes to General Security Officers

The Director General of Lebanon's General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, on Friday offered well wishes to General Security officers marking Christmas and New Year.

"With the beginning of the new year, I must commend the great efforts you have exerted within the past year, which have all been translated by means of your thorough implementation of the tasks that had been assigned to you under the slogan 'sacrifice and service'," Ibrahim said in a word he delivered earlier on Friday.

He saluted the officers' relentless endeavors "elevating the status of the Directorate and placing it in higher ranks similar to those of modern and sophisticated institutions."

"You have proven to be up to the responsibilities entrusted upon you and that your many achievements are a result of your professional and specialized competencies in service and administration," Ibrahim added.

"Your constant and full readiness to implement security missions to maintain stability and civil peace have played a major role in the inclusion of the General Security's Directorate's name on high quality and honor lists," Ibrahim said
