The "positive" indicators recorded in terms of human rights in Algeria at several levels remain "insufficient" and call for more efforts, says the annual report of the National Advisory Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human rights (CNCPPDH).

This report has been worked out on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Vienna Declaration, which is "the cornerstone of the respect of human rights."
A section was devoted to corruption where "the pursuit of the continued fight against this scourge has been widely emphasized" not to "impede the state approach for social and economic reforms."
The report has also broached the national reconciliation which objective was "reached at 95% under the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation."
As for the situation of human rights in Algeria, the CNCPPDH said that "in spite of the improvement of social indicators which remain insufficient, Algeria still faces several challenges as unemployment, rising prices, housing, transport and management and social tensions."
About the on democracy and the rule of law, the political reforms engaged by Algeria since 2011, "have had favorable echoes at both national and international levels."
