His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received an invitation from the Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit to attend the Arab League's award ceremony on the 19th of current month to confer on him the (Shield of Development Work) in recognition of his contributions to the development field and his leading role in comprehensive modernization and civilizational advancement. 
HRH Prime Minister has received at Riffa Palace Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa who handed the invitation over and the Arab League Secretary-General's letter for the same purpose. 
The Arab League Secretary-General, in his letter, highlighted HRH Premier's contributions to development and modernization field and his role in promoting joint Arab action, which has become a beacon of sustainable development and modernization not only at local level, but also globally. 
He stressed the Arab League's keenness on embracing Arab successful experiences and inspiring models, including the visions of HRH Premier to be a beacon for communities pursuing modernization and development. 
The Foreign Affairs Minister said bestowing the Shield of Development Work on HRH Prime Minister at a special award ceremony at the Arab League headquarters reflects an Arab consensus on his prudent development vision recognized locally and globally. 
The minister added the award mirrors the Arab region's appreciation of the Prime Minister's contributions to development in various areas, his role in pushing development efforts around the world and his efforts to promote international peace and security to achieve prosperity for all societies of the world. 
He extended thanks to the Arab League for its interest in embracing the successful experiences to be followed by communities eying development and modernization.
