Manama - Arab Today

The Shura Council has expressed its deep appreciation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, regarding the importance of Executive-Legislative consensus to achieve the Kingdom’s interest and its citizens’ aspirations of more growth and prosperity.
The Shura Council hailed His Majesty’s directives to streamline subsidies to eligible citizens affected by fee hikes and that no fee increase may be decided until the legislative-executive branches joint committee reaches its conclusions and after the Financial and Administrative Audit Bureau verifies that this was in compliance with the laws and applicable criteria in Bahrain.

The Council hailed the Royal directives that reflect HM the King’s keenness to achieve highest levels of integration, cooperation and consultation between the legislative and the executive authorities. The Council affirmed that these directives will boost the efforts being exerted by the two branches to ensure the dignified livelihood of all citizens, and to restructure and redirect the various forms of subsidies to most eligible citizens provided by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

The Council affirmed its full support to all government developmental programmes and plans in support of the various community categories as well as the subsides to commodities and services in the interest of citizens, emanating from the synergy between the legislature and the executive bodies to achieve sustainability and required quality of governmental services.
