
The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, HIPA, is set to host a photography competition for children up to the age of 12 at Dubai Design District’s Meet d3.
HIPA will host the Soorah or, Picture, Challenge with eight different themes, on the 9th and 10th of December, for young photographers to participate in. Submissions will be accepted only through Instagram and winners will receive Polaroid Cube cameras as prizes.
Commenting on the launch of the competition, Ali bin Thalith, Secretary-General of HIPA, said, "We are delighted to introduce to Meet d3 the exciting Soorah Challenge photo competition for children. We feel that it is our obligation to nurture people in the community who are interested in photography by unleashing their imagination."
Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Design District, commented, "We’re delighted that HIPA will be hosting the Soorah Challenge here at Meet d3.
