Hamdan bin Zayed receives former Palestinian PM

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), today received at Al Nakheel Palace, former Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan said in accordance with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and follow up by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE is keen to support the programmes and projects in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the Palestinian development issues. He reiterated that the UAE does not spare any effort to better the living conditions of Palestinian people so as to overcome the humanitarian crisis. For his part, Dr. Fayyad commended the relief and development efforts shouldered by the UAE in Palestine, thanking the RCA for implementing the relief programmes in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
