Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah urged all Palestinian factions to support his government's efforts to rebuild the war-stricken Gaza Strip.
"Palestine and this consensusal government are for all Palestinians," Hamdallah said in a press conference after the first cabinet meeting in Gaza Strip.
He asked all Palestinian factions to help his government reconstruct the densely-populated Strip.
Gaza cabinet meeting is held after more than three months from the formation of the government following a landmark reconciliation deal between Fatah and Hamas.
He stated that the Palestinian government also needs huge international support and billions of dollars to rebuild what Israeli war machine destroyed in its recent 51-day war on Gaza.
"President Mahmoud Abbas go to the international donors conference, to be held in Cairo on October 12, with a detailed plan for what will be implemented in Gaza," he said.
The Palestinians have called for more than USD 4 billion in aid to rebuild Gaza's infrastructure and provide humanitarian relief to the blockaded coastal territory.
A 51-day devastating Israeli offensive on Gaza, which ended on August 26, left nearly 2,200 Palestinians dead and over 10,000 others wounded. It has also destroyed totally or partially thousands of homes and public facilities in the Strip leaving over 100,000 Gazans homeless.
