GCC welcomes Bahrain's elections

GCC Secretary General Abdulateef Al-Zayani Sunday commended the success of parliamentary and municipal elections that were held in Bahrain yesterday.
He said the high turnout reflected the commitment of the Bahraini people in democracy.
Al-Zayani, in a statement, welcomed the atmosphere of security throughout the voting process.
He said the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries were looking forward that Bahrain continued its democratic achievements within the comprehensive reform projects of King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
