
GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has today welcomed the newly-formed Yemeni Government chaired by Prime Minister Khaled Bahah. In a statement today, he described the formation of the new cabinet as an importance step on the part to complete the establishment of constitutional bodies and push the peaceful political process forward for Yemen to overcome challenges and emerge from the current stalemate.
Dr. Al-Zayani expressed the hope that the new government would succeed in tackling political, security and economic challenges to ensure the country a better future. He stressed the need for the new government to enforce the state sovereignty, maintain security and stability and continue the development and reconstruction efforts.
In a statement today, he commended Yemeni political forces for putting their country an people’s vital interests above all other considerations and backing the new Government.
