
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has today attended the 18th meeting of the GCC municipalities affairs ministers.
Kuwaiti Municipalities and Transportation Minister Isa bin Ahmed Al-Kandari opened the session in the presence of GCC municipalities affairs ministers.
Dr. Al-Zayani addressed the session thanked the State of Kuwait for supporting the joint Arabian Gulf march towards achieving the GCC nationals’ aspirations.
He commended the ministers for their concerted efforts, hailing strides achieved so far in urban planning, development of municipal services and beautification of cities.
He underscored the importance setting up a municipal database, pointing out that the project electronic portal website had been set up and the staff trained.
Dr. Al-Zayani hailed the efforts of relevant authorities in GCC member states to coordinate municipal conferences, training workshops and training programmes.
