
A funeral was held on Saturday for five army personnel, who were killed in a terrorist attack in North Sinai on Friday, in the Upper Egyptian city of Minya.
The funeral was led by a number of civil servant officials, Christian and Muslim figures and military and police officers.
Thousands of locals attended the funeral.
The mourners chanted anti-terrorism slogans, and demanded retribution from the culprits.
At least 31 soldiers were killed and dozens others wounded by a car bomb that targeted a Sinai checkpoint near the border with the Gaza Strip on Friday.
