Under the patronage and in the presence of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Pioneers award ceremony will be held on 28 November to honour 46 Emiratis who initiated remarkable acts of giving and humanitarian work.

The move is in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed to dedicate this year’s initiative to Emiratis pioneering ‎in giving and in line with the Year of Giving 2017.‎ "The UAE Pioneers initiative will celebrate 46 Emiratis who initiated remarkable acts of giving in ‎conjunction with the 46th UAE National Day, as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin ‎Rashid," said Noaf Tahlak, General Coordinator of the UAE Pioneers initiative and Executive Director of the ‎Government Communication Office at the General ‎Secretariat of ‎the Cabinet to the Ministry of Cabinet ‎Affairs and the Future.

Tahlak added that the initiative showcases the inspiring examples and role models within the UAE ‎society.

‎ The nation-wide campaign to nominate pioneering Emiratis concluded last Thursday. "The response has been overwhelming, as we have ‎received more than 800 nominations for Emirati Pioneers since the launch of the nomination campaign," said Tahlak.

"The initiative hashtag had a tremendous reach on the social medial platforms to more ‎than 39 million followers," she concluded. ‎ The initiative is being organised for the fourth consecutive years. All received nominations were examined to check the submitted credentials in collaboration with relevant government entities.

The UAE Pioneers will be awarded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed during the awards ‎‎ceremony, in addition to having their names observed in the memory of the UAE through the ‎‎release of the UAE Pioneers 2017 book.
