The Fatah movement hailed Egypt's mediation efforts to stabilize an Egyptian-brokered truce between the Palestinians and Israel in the Gaza Strip and end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
In a press release following the movement's meeting under Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Fatah Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the movement appreciates Egypt's ongoing efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The movement also hails the role of the countries, which offered aid and support to the Gazans, he added.
Israel and the Palestinian factions reached an Egyptian-sponsored ceasefire agreement Tuesday.
Egypt's foreign ministry announced that indirect talks would resume within one month of Tuesday's open-ended truce following the failure of earlier rounds of negotiations.
