The Family Development Foundation and World Family Organisation have signed a joint MoU to corroborate the commitment of both parties to actively support and strengthen their strategic partnership.

The MoU aims to unify joint efforts to ensure positive development across all economic and social fields in line with the policies and strategies of both sides to achieve their future objectives and aspirations.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the World Family Summit 2017, which was held today in the Emirates Room at the UN HQ in Geneva, under the theme "No Family Left Behind", in the presence of Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the FDF Board of Trustees, and Dr. Deisi Kusztra, President of the WFO.

The MoU stipulates that the two sides will co-operate in supporting and implementing the Sheikha Fatima International Family Award and achieve its objectives.

The four-year memo will go into force effective its date of signing.

The World Family Organisation earlier today honoured the "Mother of the Nation," H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), with the International Family Advocate Award for her outstanding contribution to the well-being of families worldwide.

The recognition came during the official launch of the sessions of the World Family Summit, which were held today in the Emirates Room at the UN HQ in Geneva, under the theme "No Family Left Behind"
