At least 10 Iraqi policemen were killed and 15 others injured in two bomb explosions in Diyala governorate in eastern Iraq.
A security source on Tuesday told KUNA that a booby-trapped car exploded and killed five federal policemen, including lieutenant colonel Ali Al-Baroudi, in northeastern Baquba, the capital of Diyala.
The explosive device killed five other policemen in the same area after they regained a site controlled by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the source said, adding that 15 others were injured in the explosion.
Earlier in the day, Iraqi security forces started liberating some areas which were under the control of ISIL militants.
