Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat called on Saturday for organizing an international conference for ending the Israeli occupation.
"Palestinians are currently moving at a historic real crossroad, either there will be a Palestinian state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip within a specific time-frame and within the ceiling of the international Quartet, the United Nations and the world, or the occupation will continue forever," he said.
He said that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip is aimed at keeping the enclave outside a future Palestinian homeland.
"It hits the Palestinian national project as Israel wants to keep the situation as it is," he said.
