Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, through its local fast response team at its Abu Dhabi branch, has succeeded in evacuating and accommodating several people affected by a fire in a residential building on Sheikh Khalifa Street in Abu Dhabi.

The branch’s volunteers quickly responded and provided aid to six families of various Arab nationalities residing in the building, who were affected by the fire.

Mohammed Saeed Al Rumaithi, Director of the ERC branch in Abu Dhabi, said that several employees and volunteers from the branch immediately headed to the location of the fire to ensure the safety of the affected families and to accommodate them, as per the directives of the operations room at the ERC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi and in co-operation with the Abu Dhabi Police and the Civil Defence Administration.

Al Rumaithi said that the ERC and its employees are always ready and qualified to respond quickly to such cases.
