ERC launches winter aid in Gheil ben Yameen Directorate, Yemen

Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today began the distribution of winter clothes, food parcels and tents in Gheil ben Yameen Directorate, Hadramaut Governorate.
The gesture was part of the authority's humanitarian efforts to help the population battle the severe cold and alleviate their suffering.
Abdullah Al Musaferi, Representative of the ERC in Hadramaut Governorate, said that the aid is important for thousands of families witnessing dire economic conditions.
"The campaign, part of a series of initiatives carried out by ERC in most areas in Hadramaut, aims to continue the UAE's efforts to ease the suffering of the Yemenis and meet the needs of the population in remote areas," he added.
