Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Tuesday received the Moroccan Minister-delegate for public service and administration modernization, Mohamed Moubdi, in the presence of the Minister of Public Sector Development, Khalif Al Khawaldeh.
The prime minister praised the relations between the two countries and expressed his keenness to enhance these in all fields. Pointing to the similarities in the two countries and their leaderships' directives towards genuine constitutional reforms at a crucial time through which the Arab region has been passing.
He also praised the Moroccan experience in the areas of parliament and political parties, stressing that it is a unique experience in the Arab world.
They reviewed the preparations for the Joint Jordanian-Moroccan Higher Committee meeting, due to take place in Rabat next March.
The Moroccan minister stressed the depth of bilateral relations, lauding Jordan's political and administrative reforms and the desire to benefit from shared experiences in the field of public administration.
Moubdi, who will visit the Moroccan field hospital in the al Zaatari camp, in the northern city of Mafraq, conveyed, to Ensour, the greetings of his Moroccan counterpart, who expressed his keenness to perpetuate cooperation between the two Kingdoms.
Meanwhile, Jordan and Morocco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Public Sector Development and the Ministry of public service and administration modernization in the Kingdom of Morocco, in the field of public administration's development.
Khawaldeh said that the MoU aims at consolidating ties between the two countries in public services development, simplification of procedures and the restructuring of the government apparatus, in addition to raising the capacity of human resources and support for good governance.
According to the MoU, there will be an exchange of expertise and mutual visits of specialists to review the experience of the two countries in the related fields, Khawaldeh said.
He added that a permanent joint committee will be formed to prepare a program for cooperation in the field of modernization of public administration, and its implementation mechanisms.
The committee is expected to hold its regular meetings bienially or when necessary, in coordination with each other.
