Dubai - Arab Today

In an effort to bring its maritime arbitration expertise to the entire UAE’s maritime and legal professionals, the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre hosted the sixth session of its Breakfast with EMAC series at the Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah on 26th October.

The Fujairah event featured speeches from Acting Chairman and Secretary-General, EMAC, Majid Obaid bin Bashir, Board of Trustee Members Dr. Mohammed Saeed AI-Kindi, Edward Newitt and Richard Briggs and Case Manager, Maali Khader.

As part of proceedings, event attendees were presented with more information about EMAC, including an overview of the centre’s structure, support services and the advantages of utilising arbitration and mediation services. The morning session also looked at the numerous benefits the centre brings to the regions dynamic bunkering sector.

The session was supported by the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and the Fujairah Port, following the agreement to collaborate with both organisations earlier this year.

"Home to one of the top bunkering ports in the world, Fujairah plays an important role in the UAE maritime sector. Therefore, it is important for us to ensure that the Fujairah maritime community knows that EMAC is here to provide excellence in maritime arbitration and mediation," said Majid bin Bashir.
