The Emirates Group has partnered with PwC Middle East to offer UAE national graduates a secondment opportunity. Two UAE national Emirates Group employees have been selected this year to take part in PwC’s Watani Graduate Programme, providing them with a unique training opportunity in fields such as consultancy, assurance, audit and finance.

The two candidates joined a batch of 300 new graduates welcomed by PwC from different Middle Eastern countries, all looking to complete professional training and obtain certification on the allocated field across PwC’s offices in the region.

Amira Al Awadhi, Emirates’ Vice President, National Recruitment and Development, said, "We are always looking to invest in programmes and initiatives that provide UAE nationals with various training opportunities, further developing their careers and growing their skillset. Partnering with a highly-regarded firm like PwC will give our Emirati employees a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with industry professionals, learn and build on their strengths. The knowledge they’ll gain during their secondment is exactly what they need to thrive in a dynamic workplace like the Emirates Group."

"PwC is committed to supporting professional growth and investing in our nationals. Diverse talent is the core of our people agenda which aims to attract, develop and retain the best people. By investing in our people, we are investing in the future of the firm. The new graduates will go through a week long induction with the firm’s leadership and will start a three year development programme within PwC Middle East. PwC offers an inclusive environment for all graduates throughout their careers, providing them with the resources, mentors and support leading to their success," said Emma Campbell, PwC Middle East People Partner.

PwC's Watani Graduate Programme for UAE nationals runs alongside PwC’s Middle East Graduate Programme, with almost 300 new graduates joining PwC Middle East every September. This year, the induction week started on 10th September on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and will be followed by weeks of training tailored to the graduate's business area, after which each graduate will go to their offices across the Middle East region.
