Emir of Qatar's mediation in Eritrea praised

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani praised the efforts of HH the Emir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to release a number of prisoners of war from Djibouti that were held in Eritrea.
Al Zayani released a statement to the press today to express his appreciation to HH the Emir's efforts in that regard, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The statement added that the success of Qatari mediation efforts reflect the respect the country has earned. The success was also the latest in a long line of successful Qatari mediation efforts, QNA reported.
