Eid al-Adha holiday announced in Jordan

All ministries and public departments and institutions will observe a holiday from Friday October 3, 2014 through Tuesday October 7, 2014 on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, according to a communiqué issued by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
Eid Al Adha, which falls on the 10th day of Dhul Hijja, is the feast marking the end of the pilgrimage season, which Muslims of sufficient means are required to perform at least once in their lifetimes.
