Adviser to Egypt's Mufti Ibrahim Negm has condemned calls by some parties, which are affiliated to political Islam, to stage demonstrations on November 28.
In statements Monday, Negm added that calls by a number of people to raise the Qur'an on November 28 is suspicious and an attempt to mix religion with politics.
He further warned that such kind of calls will not lead to any results except the hatred of society for these acts.
He also warned those currents, which claim they belong to Islam, of resorting to religious slogans in order to attain cheap political gains.
