
Minister of Interior General Mohammad Ibrahim on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a new city for combat operations at the General Administration of Special Operations of Martyr Ahmed Al-Kabier Security Sector on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road.
Assistant Interior Minister and Head of the General Administration of Special Operations General Medhat Al-Menshawi said the city will be the biggest and most modern of its kind in the Middle East to train police troops on combat tactics.
The city will be established on 90 feddans over two phases and will include three main combat fields, sports playgrounds, a control room as well as an administrative building, he said.
General Ibrahim listened to a detailed explanation from the American company that will implement the construction of the city.
Ibrahim urged a swift completion of the city in a maximum time of six to eight months.
