Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will leave for Ethiopia Thursday on a visit meant to boost ties between the two African countries.
In Addis Ababa, Shoukry will meet with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and will hand him a message from President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi on enhancing bilateral relations, as well as the Nile water issue, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel-Aati said Wednesday.
He will also meet with Tedros Adhanom, his Ethiopian counterpart, to set a date for the next round of joint committee meetings.
Shoukry's visit comes after the fourth round of tripartite talks between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan on the Renaissance Dam.
