
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri met his Libyan counterpart Mohammed Al-Dairi, on the sidelines of Bani Yas Forum in the UAE, and discussed latest developments in Libya and cooperation to support legitimate Libyan institutions.
Mr. Al-Dair outlined the efforts of the Libyan Government, led by Prime Minister Abdulla Al-Theni to restore stability. The Egyptian minister affirmed his country’s support to the Libyan Government, citing the initiative of neighbouring states to restore security and stability in Libya and promote a consensual national project among all factions.
The two ministers agreed to continue consultation between their respective governments so as to confront political challenges resulting from the untenable situation in Libya.
