Egyptian FM to embark on European tour

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is to begin a European tour that includes Germany, France and Italy to discuss bilateral ties and boost cooperation, Spokesperson of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced Sunday.
Ambassador Badr Abdel Aaty told the press that Shoukry will meet foreign ministers, parliament members, and senior politicians of those three countries where he will discuss enhancing diplomatic ties and bolster cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and tourism.
Shourky will also shed light, during the tour, on some regional and international issues, most prominently, the Libyan, Palestinian, Syrian and Iraqi crises. Terrorism and international security will also be tackled, the Egyptian spokesperson added.
In France, Shourkry will meet with French President Francois Hollande, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and a host of businessmen.
In Germany, the Egyptian Foreign Minister will meet with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Muller and other senior officials.
Meanwhile, in Italy, he will meet Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, Italian Prime Minister's security advisor and head of the parliament committee on foreign affairs.
