
Anti-terror elements of the Egyptian Special Forces and the negotiating team returned back from Cyprus after the release of all passengers and crew of EgyptAir plane that was hijacked on Tuesday morning.
President Abdel Fatah El Sisi gave directives to dispatch the special forces to Cyprus to help in setting free the hostages.
Cypriot security forces managed to safely free the hostages and arrest the hijacker.
Earlier Tuesday, the EgyptAir Airbus A320, with 56 passengers on board along with seven cabin crew members and one security officer, was hijacked and forced to land in Larnaca Airport in Cyprus.
Flight MS181 passenger plane was originally travelling from Alexandra's Borg El Arab Airport to Cairo.
